FoundrForge is a paid, DPDP-compliant co-founder matching platform built specifically for India. We exist because finding the right co-founder is one of the highest-stakes hiring decisions of a founder’s life — and the platforms that dominate this space today were built for something else.

Why we built this

Solo Indian founders currently rely on WhatsApp DMs, cold LinkedIn requests, and free Discord servers filled with recruiters, students, and MLM pitches. The signal-to-noise ratio makes real matches almost accidental. FoundrForge is our attempt to build the opposite: a small, paywalled room where every profile has skin in the game, identity is optionally verified via LinkedIn, and no conversation begins until both people have agreed on how to protect each other’s ideas.

The platform is deliberately narrow. It does not broker deals, host NDAs, verify commercial claims, or take equity. It connects two people who have both explicitly said “yes” to each other, gives them a private text channel, and gets out of the way.

How we’re different

  • ₹499/₹999 subscription paywall. Real skin in the game. No recruiters, no student portfolios, no free-tier tire-kickers.
  • Blurred identity until mutual match. Your name and LinkedIn stay hidden until the other person has said yes.
  • Explicit IP-safety consent on every match. A 5-ground-rules screen appears afresh for each new match, and chat only unlocks once both users confirm.
  • One-click DPDP-compliant erasure. Delete your account and every message you sent + received is hard-deleted from live systems immediately. Payment records anonymised per Indian tax law.
  • India-first infrastructure. Data stored on MongoDB Atlas in Mumbai (ap-south-1). No cross-border transfers.
  • No trackers, no analytics cookies, no session replay. The only third-party requests our landing page makes are ones you’d expect: Razorpay for payments, LinkedIn for optional identity verification, Google for sign-in. That’s it.

A note from the founder

I’ve watched too many good founders waste 12 months alone because the person who would’ve been their perfect co-founder was one Bengaluru meetup away. FoundrForge is the room I wish existed when I started out — small enough to feel like a curated community, paid enough that everyone in it is serious, and designed from day one around India’s legal, tax, and privacy realities rather than a Silicon-Valley template.
